Teresa of Ávila
Teresa of Avila or Teresa de Cepeda y Ahumada was the reformer of the Order of the Carmelites and is considered, along with Juan de la Cruz, founder of the Discalced Carmelites. In 1970 she was appointed Doctor of the Church.
Her writings are a model in the ways of prayer and perfection. The poem "Christ Has No Body in the World" of Santa Teresa de Avila was the inspiration of our most recent collection.
Christ has no body, but yours,
He has no hands, or feet in the earth, but yours,
